Notre Dame football made a notable move in late March by offering a scholarship to 2026 Glenside (Pa.) La Salle College offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh — a prospect who was relatively under-the-radar at the time. Standing 6-foot-7 and weighing 275 pounds, McKeogh was still developing in his new position and rated as a three-star recruit across major services. However, Irish offensive line coach Joe Rudolph saw potential early and made him a priority.
Since then, McKeogh’s stock has soared. He’s now rated a four-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite, ranking as the No. 260 overall player in the 2026 class, the No. 22 offensive tackle, and the No. 7 player in Pennsylvania.
With that rise, McKeogh’s offer list has grown substantially. In addition to Notre Dame, top programs like Ohio State, Penn State, Ole Miss, Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Pittsburgh have jumped into the mix.
Following a recent visit to South Bend, Notre Dame appears to be in a strong position. The Irish and Penn State have emerged as the frontrunners — particularly interesting since McKeogh hails from a Penn State-heavy region and attends the same high school as 2026 cornerback Joey O’Brien, who is also down to the Irish and Nittany Lions.
Adding to the intrigue, Ohio State entered the race with an offer this week. Whether the Buckeyes can gain momentum remains to be seen, but their presence could stir up another recruiting battle between Notre Dame and a familiar Big Ten rival.
From a roster standpoint, Notre Dame’s 2026 offensive line class is already impressive, featuring commitments from Tyler Merrill, Ben Nichols, Gregory Patrick, and Sullivan Garvin — all of whom project as interior linemen. That leaves room for a true tackle, and McKeogh is firmly on the shortlist.
